Obama's genius to the fore

The much touted failure of obama's in the middleeast peace talks is actually the most successful.
This may seem paradoxical but if somebody has gauged Obama's IQ to become the first black to enter whitehouse, it should be no surprise that seeking or coaxing Israel, which is entrenched  into american politics for more than 60 years, to make concessions in his first stint, was nowhere in his mind.
What he has accomplished is to make the americans and the world to wake up to the root cause of the problem, and the attempt to bribe Israel(with F-35s n stuff) was just to sensitize his countrymen to the amount of taxpayer's money and political coverage is being extended to Israel and which is not willing to acquiesce
to even its minimalist of demands to forge peace in the region.
This expose will deal a blow to the powerful israel lobby groups which have a stranglehold over much of the political class in US of A.It is important to realize that he has to do it discreetly without jeopardizing  his prospects in the next elections. There are too many examples of his covert approach which has the most experienced of israelis caught into a cat and mouse game, like usa's support to include Israel for nuclear free middleeast, no ferocious response to the goldstone report that indicts Israel equally for war crimes, and linking of usa's security to solving the middleeast conflict as was highlighted by the smart General Petreus who knows the way to the president's goodwill.
Finally the Israelis should concede that they are dealing with a determined and intelligent president in history of USA after the JFK.

WIKILEAKS - SEPT 11 of world diplomacy?

Almost a dizzying release of a treasure trove of information of how the world's super power deals with every other country, leading to a massive recalibration on United States' part to reach out and revisit the foreign policy guiding united states for a long time. No wonder this release has been called the sept 11 of world diplomacy.
 Years of hard negotiations, delicate relationships, commitments from friends n foes alike, all laid bare in a matter of few hours. In many instances , of what were thought to be were mere conjectures were proved to be true . Now we would have the conspiracy theorists say "we told you so" or did we call them conspiracy theorists out of our own ignorance?.
Now the question most perplexing is, how could one man, one organization get away with this unscathed or are we waiting for another leak about United States' relations with Wikileaks!!!!

An Indian's take on Wikileaks

One of the most defining events in contemporary history. Never has the world witnessed ,the revelation of tens of thousands of documents which would otherwise have been cloaked in the veil of "confidentiality" or "secrecy" or "national security",warranting an existence away from the public eye when they are supposed to be on behalf of the public(what then is the purpose of democracy?)
   With this, Wikileaks has accomplished that duty which is incumbent on every citizen of the civilized world to demand and defend the precious little freedom in the world of murky politics riddled with double standards, dirty tricks and deception.
   Since enjoying immunity for long, diplomats sometimes get insensitive to their role, get away with blunt , reckless and even brutal assessments and the governments kept hoodwinking the public for a very long time forgetting the basic principle of accountability.
The revelations should serve as wakeup call to all the people entrusted with decision making powers to be transparent and honest in their dealings, as more and more people get empowered, the more and more vulnerable do the governments become!!
